Fundraising
We fundraise to support our organization, and match donations collected by our supporters to be donated to the local organization we chose to support!
Each year, GVDT has four fundraisers. For the Winter 2026 Semester, we are supporting a nonprofit called The Hope Gain Center of West Michigan, which is located right here in Grand Rapids, MI. The Hope Gain Center empowers individuals with mental health challenges to achieve meaningful employment through support and resources.
In order to raise money for The Hope Gain Center, not only will recital profits support the organization, but our dancers will also be participating in fundraisers throughout the semester! Dancers, as well as family and friends, can help us out by buying goods from our fundraising partners! This semester, our dancers have the opportunity to work with some great local places like Tea Time Cafe and Lake Michigan Nutrition Each dancer in GVDT is expected to participate in three of these fundraisers or opt to buy out.
